The term car pimping has become more popular due to MTV’s show “Pimp My Ride”, hosted by rapper and actor Xzibit, where they choose fans that has the worst car possible and turn it in to something that even rusts would be ashamed if they touched it. But then again, car pimping or more commonly known as car modification have been done since before the term has even made. The Latinos and Mexicans, then later the black people, are actually more in to this kind of thing, especially with their low riders. They love designing their own cars, giving it different kinds of paint jobs and putting hydraulics under the car as part of its modification to make it “dance” in the street. In the very popular game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, car modifications have been given much attention as one particular mission requires you to have modifications in order to advance. There have been a lot of movies as well that have shown interest in this kind of thing and I think it will definitely stay put.
