There are just those times when you really have to do something but you just don’t have enough money to be able to achieve it. This is what happened to me just recently when I had a big problem with my car and the expenses actually had me cry to heavens because it was just too much and I don’t have enough money in my pocket.

The problem was that the power steering was off that I just couldn’t drive the car because it is an accident waiting to happen if I insist on using it. I immediately sent it to an auto repair shop and I was told that it would indeed cost me a lot of money to have it fixed. I even checked some online auto repair shops and I also got the same result. I can’t afford not to have my car because I use it every day in my work and not having it meant that I can’t make my normal roundups so I thought I just have to do something about it. Luckily, I remembered that one time, my brother was using payday loans whenever he had some money issues and good thing he still have their number. I was able to get the loan immediately and had my car fixed in no time.

Just recently, I have decided to have my car modified so I could have better time driving it in the neighborhood and also in some places that I usually go to. I thought I could finally install a spoiler at the back of the car since I already got enough money for it, plus my friend, who happens to have a car modification shop, was offering me a good deal. I also thought having a different paint job would be nice, but I guess nothing too flashy for me because I don’t like getting too much attention in the streets. He did it in only an hour and I was able to get the car out of his shop the same day. I guess I just got my car pimped by my friend and he said if ever I need anything else, I can always go to his shop for some car enhancements.

The term car pimping has become more popular due to MTV’s show “Pimp My Ride”, hosted by rapper and actor Xzibit, where they choose fans that has the worst car possible and turn it in to something that even rusts would be ashamed if they touched it. But then again, car pimping or more commonly known as car modification have been done since before the term has even made. The Latinos and Mexicans, then later the black people, are actually more in to this kind of thing, especially with their low riders. They love designing their own cars, giving it different kinds of paint jobs and putting hydraulics under the car as part of its modification to make it “dance” in the street. In the very popular game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, car modifications have been given much attention as one particular mission requires you to have modifications in order to advance. There have been a lot of movies as well that have shown interest in this kind of thing and I think it will definitely stay put.

Maintaining a car is probably the hardest thing to do for the first time car owners because the usual connotation for people that doesn’t have cars yet is everything would be a lot easier once they get a transportation vehicle of their own. Most new car owners don’t realize that there is more to it than meets the eye. Certainly, you would have a better time going through the traffic, now that you have your own set of wheel… definitely you will be able to avoid the stress of riding a bus, taking the train or hiring a cab because you can be all alone driving your new car now, but then again, making sure that everything will be running smoothly in the long run is something that most people don’t realize. With this dilemma, it would be better to ask for a friend’s help for anything that you might miss out, or just see to it that you always have enough funds every month or at least on the times that you decide to have your regular car maintenance.
